The newest state of the art techniques and time proven procedures are selected to help you heal as fast as possible. Orthotics and shoes are prescribed from the most up to date labs and the results are guaranteed. Adjustments to orthotics are included to give you a perfect orthotic that will make your feet feel and function most optimally. Dr. Young is trained in the newer procedures that are less invasive and designed to give relief with the least amount of "down time". Arthroscopy and endoscopy procedures are available. Replacement of joint cartilage with the new Osteocure product has helped with arthritis in the great toe joint.
For heel pain that requires surgery, Dr. Young is trained on the Kobygard technique, a ten minute procedure that allows immediate walking and very quick recovery and resolution of plantar fasciitis. Young also provides Shockwave for heel pain that is not responsive to other treatment but where surgery is not determined.
Custom orthotics for sports or for dress shoes that will correct the problems with gait that are causing foot problems and deformities are made from casts of the foot. Shockwave therapy is a therapy for plantar fasciitis that has existed for over six months and has not responded to the many other treatments available. It reactivates stalled healing or chronic inflammation to encourage normal healing. This procedure is performed in the office.
Kobygard technique for plantar fasciitis: A small incision is made and the Kobygard device is used to create a small release of the plantar fascia. Very effective. Fast recovery for plantar heel pain.
