Debra Young, D.P.M.
Dr. Young is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery. She completed podiatric medical school and residency in Chicago. Dr. Young is trained in all aspects of podiatry and has special interest in caring for the foot problems associated with peripheral neuropathy. She also has training in the exciting new procedures for heel pain and arthritis, including arthritic bunions that enable her patients to get back to their lifestyle activities much faster. She has treated the complications of nerve entrapment from injuries, lacerations and accidents as well as the new grafting techniques for wound care. She is on staff at the Wound Center of Mercy Hospital and the surgical staff for the Wisconsin Neuropathy Center in Kenosha, WI. Dr. Young was trained on nerve decompression surgery six years ago by A. Lee Dellon, MD at Johns Hopkins, the pioneer and leader in the area of surgery for peripheral neuropathy.
As a seasoned lecturer on a variety of foot related subjects, she is available for presentations to community, professional, women's and church groups. Dr. Young lives in Lincoln Park.
